There is something distinctive about Relite's monthly Mawlid. The children lead the entire programme. From Mawlid recitation and qasidah to darbuka percussion, storytelling and spoken word, every performance comes from them.
The community gathers to listen, remember and encourage them. In giving children the stage, we give the tradition a future, and allow their voices to bring us closer to the love of Rasulullah ﷺ.
A Mawlid where children belong.
At Relite, children help bring the Mawlid to life. They raise their hands, answer questions, sing along and share in the joy of the gathering.
We create space for them to feel involved, valued and confident. It becomes more than an event they come to with their parents. It becomes their gathering, too.

Mawlid recitation
Children lead the recitation, bringing the gathering together in remembrance of Rasulullah ﷺ.
Qasidah & percussion
Young munshid sing the qasidah as fellow children carry its rhythms through percussion.
Stories & spoken word
Children share stories, reflections and spoken word, making the gathering an expression of their learning and love.
